According to this post, a stall from hell, I have one more to add.
There is this stall at Jurong West Ave 1, opposite McDonald there. It sells fishball noodle, minced meat kuay teow and things like that.
That uncle has some attitude.
The first time I ate there, thought wasn't Terence's first time, was a few weeks ago. Terence ordered minced meat dry kuay teow (see my favourite food/munchiez at the side box) for me. Somehow when he walked back, he looked quite pissed. He then told me what happened.
When he ordered, of course he gotto wait there cos there's a sign saying "self-service". But then when that attitude uncle was cooking my kuay teow, he somehow told Terence that "Self-service hor" in a extremely mean voice. Terence was a bit shocked but he didn't say anything. (He said it to me instead.) I thought maybe Terence thought too much.
Then last week, I happened to crave for that kuay teow again (in fact I have been eating minced meat dry kuay teow at least 7 times a week). Then I told him, I wanted to eat at that stall. He warned me. But then I thought what could be worse than the stall at my place so I couldn't be bothered. Until Terence ordered for me and I was also in the scene. That uncle looked like we asked for his food for free. I also felt that he was going to throw a scoop (or whatever it is) at us. I love soup, I asked Terence to ask him to pack soup for me as well. Somehow the uncle's face suddenly turned very black. But he still packed soup for me. After that we left.
We agree that even if the food is nice and cheap and owner's attitude is bad, but if there is also other alternative whose price is not much different and owner's attitude is damn good, we would rather go for another one.
In fact, if we walk a bit more, there is also this kuay teow stall. Selling at the same price, but cool attitude, and nice food there is! :)
I recommend this kuay teow stall at Jurong West Central 1, near Shell petrol station. If you are lucky, there is this aunty who does the cooking, and she gives a lot of meat and mushroom, and I love that !
Yummy !
<thought: minced meat dry kuay teow. minced meat dry kuay teow. minced meat dry kuay teow.>
